after six weeks of being miserable i’ve finally come to terms with the fact that most of my friends here are the one’s i’ve settled for. my mom has always told me that my biggest problem is that i expect too much from people and after 18 years, i’ve finally realized she’s right. expect nothing and you will never be disappointed. it’s more important for me to have 3.5 great friends here and expect nothing more from other acquaintances than being drinking buddies.
